Recently, we delivered a batch of compact electro-permanent magnets for welding fixtures. Each unit weighs only 9 kg, yet provides a rated holding force of up to 320 kg. This high force-to-weight ratio allows the magnets to deliver strong and reliable performance while keeping the system lightweight and easy to integrate into automated production lines.
Compared with traditional mechanical clamps, magnetic welding fixtures offer a simpler and more flexible setup. By arranging multiple magnets across the fixture, workpieces can be positioned and held securely with accurate alignment. This makes it easier to achieve consistent welding results, especially in automated processes where repeatability is critical.

Another key advantage is the optimized magnetic design. With shallow magnetic penetration and strong holding force, the magnets can be placed approximately 30 mm away from the weld seam. This helps prevent arc interference and reduces the risk of workpiece deformation, ensuring stable welding quality throughout the process.
In addition, electro-permanent magnetic fixtures only require power during magnetization and demagnetization. This significantly reduces energy consumption while maintaining a constant holding force without continuous power supply.
