Heavy industry requires diverse lifting solutions. HVR MAG provides two main options for steel handling. One is the custom Magnet Crane system. The other is the standard HBEP portable series. Understanding their differences helps you choose the right tool.
The Custom Solution: Magnet Crane
First, let’s look at the heavy-duty option. The Magnet Crane is a customized lifting beam. Our engineers design this system specifically for your facility. It connects directly to your overhead EOT crane.
- Tailored Design: We build the beam length to match your steel plates.
- High Capacity: It lifts tons of heavy material effortlessly.
- Power Source: It uses the factory’s main power supplyor internal battery.
Consequently, this system fits fixed production lines perfectly. It creates a fully integrated steel handling equipment solution. You often see these in large shipyards or steel mills. Furthermore, we can add telescopic arms to handle different plate sizes.

The Standard Solution: HBEP Series
On the other hand, the HBEP model offers a different approach. It is a standard magnetic lifter with fixed specifications. You can buy this product off the shelf immediately.
This unit functions as a battery powered lifter. Therefore, it requires no external cables or cords. This wireless feature makes it a truly portable lifter. A single worker can move it easily between workstations.

Comparing the Usage Environment
Choosing the right tool depends on your workspace. The Magnet Crane stays on the main overhead crane. It automates repetitive, heavy lifting tasks in one area.
In contrast, the HBEP shines in flexible workshops. It moves freely around the shop floor. For instance, you can use it for loading CNC machines. Later, you can move it to a cutting table. Thus, it provides agility for smaller, non-repetitive tasks. But the length, width and thickness of the loads is limited, normally we don’t recommend to lift the plate more than 3m. And the lifting capacity is limited, the standard HBEP cannot handle more than 5 Tons loads.
Conclusión
Both systems use our safe electro-permanent technology. HVR MAG guarantees safety for both custom and standard models. However, the scale of operation differs. Choose the Magnet Crane for heavy, automated workflows. Choose the HBEP for flexible, lighter-duty work.
