As a manufacturer of End-of-Arm Tooling, we provide reliable and efficient gripping solutions for automated robotic arm applications. Our EPMs are designed to serve as end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) for handling various workpieces in industrial settings.

These magnets offer a practical method for lifting, moving, and placing ferromagnetic materials such as steel, iron, and certain alloys. They are used in industries including automotive, metalworking, appliance manufacturing, and logistics.

How It Works:

The electro-permanent magnet requires a short electrical pulse to switch on (attach to the workpiece) or off (release the workpiece). Once activated, it maintains its magnetic force without continuous power supply. This makes it suitable for repetitive and high-cycle automation tasks.

When integrated with a robotic arm, the magnet enables precise and secure handling of parts with flat or curved surfaces, including sheets, parts, and components. The robot can pick, transfer, and position items accurately without mechanical clamps or suction cups.

Key Features:

  • Energy Efficiency: Only consumes power at the moment of switching.

  • Safety: In case of power failure, the magnet remains engaged, preventing workpiece drops.

  • Low Maintenance: No moving parts and minimal wear over time.

  • Flexible Design: Can be customized in size, shape, and magnetic strength to match different applications.

Typical Applications:

  • Transferring metal sheets in stamping lines

  • Loading and unloading parts in CNC machining

  • Stacking and sorting fabricated components

  • Assembling products in automated production cells

Our EPMs help improve automation efficiency by reducing cycle time, minimizing workpiece damage, and enabling simpler robot integration. They are especially useful when handling oily, smooth, or delicate surfaces where traditional grippers may struggle.

We work with customers to design magnets based on specific workpiece size, weight, and robot type. Our technical team can assist with integration support and performance testing.

If you are looking for a durable and efficient gripping solution for robotic workpiece handling, our electro-permanent magnets may meet your needs.
