HVR MAG recently completed the delivery and installation of a 15-ton magnetic lifter for a shipyard customer in Vietnam. The system is now operating on the customer’s steel plate cutting line, providing efficient material handling for both plate loading and cut-part unloading operations.

The customer required a reliable solution to improve the handling process of large steel plates used in shipbuilding production. Before installation, steel plates and cut parts were handled manually or with traditional lifting methods, resulting in low efficiency and increased labor requirements.
The HVR MAG электропостоянный магнитный подъемник is designed specifically for steel plate cutting applications. The lifting beam transfers full steel plates from the storage area to the cutting table and, after cutting is completed, removes all cut parts and skeleton scrap in a single lifting operation.
With a rated lifting capacity of 15 tons, the system provides safe and stable handling of steel plates while reducing crane operating time and minimizing manual intervention. The electro-permanent technology consumes power only during magnetization and demagnetization, eliminating continuous energy consumption during lifting.
The equipment was recently delivered to the customer’s shipyard in Vietnam, where the unloading, unpacking, installation, and commissioning processes were completed successfully. The system has now entered operation and is supporting daily steel plate cutting production.
By combining reliable magnetic holding force with efficient material handling, the HVR MAG magnetic lifter helps shipyards improve productivity, reduce labor intensity, and optimize steel plate processing operations.
As shipbuilding manufacturers continue to pursue higher levels of automation and efficiency, electro-permanent magnetic lifters are becoming an increasingly important solution for modern steel handling applications.
